摘要

随着国际交往与交通的发展,世界经济的全球化,人口迁移的广泛分布,导致工作伙伴与社会群体之间多文化并存的现象同见频繁,跨文化交际也因此成了21世纪人们生存与生活的必备能力。为了能与来自不同文化的人们顺利沟通,个体必须注重跨文化交际能力的培养:从跨文化交际意识,敏感度进而到能力的形成。简而言之,对他文化的尊重即是不同文化之间顺利沟通的基础。 我们的外语教学正是在教语言的同时从小培养学生跨文化交际能力的有效途径之一。而这个目的却因为中学普遍存在的应试教育的压力,教师自身素质的参差不齐及其他种种原因而几乎被忽略,导致了学生高分低能,英语教学高投入,低产出的现状。 本文分析了中学英语教学中文化教学的现状,专门论证了文化教学的必要性并提出了实施的种种可行的方法,进而阐述了中学的外语教学中生词短语,句子结构的灌输与记忆己远远不能适应当前学生的需要,还必须传授与语言知识密切相关的文化因素,以帮助学生养成良好的语言习惯,提高反映能力,能独立解决交际中出现的种种问题,从而提高他们在跨文化交际中各方面的能力。 另外,本文还提到了目前中学英语教学中有关文化教学运用较多的一些方法以供参考。最终目的是强调交际运用能力不仅仅只是语言能力,具备相应的文化背景知识除了提高和完善交际能力,还能对不同的文化产生认同和尊重,从而更具客观性和文化辨别力。
