摘要

申奥成功和世界贸易组织的加入,更加促进了英语学习在中国的普及与发展。口语教学变得更为重要。这要求教师不断探求新的教学方法,以帮助学生提高跨文化交际能力。该论文以教学实验为基础,对文化教学在培养学生跨文化交际能力的作用进行了探讨。 在该研究中,2004年九月至2005年七月在辽宁大学外国语学院英语国际商务系进行了此实验。该实验提出了在口语课中利用文化教学的如下问题: (1)口语课中利用文化教学是否有助于提高学生跨文化交际能力?(2)如果是,效果如何。(3)用文化教学能否提高学生自主学习能力。 该研究使用了考试成绩分析数据,问卷调查,采访等研究工具。研究结果表明,实验班和控制组的成绩有显著差异。这表明用文化教学有助于提高学生的跨文化交际能力,同时也增强了学习的自主性。论文对英语作为第二语言教学以及文化教学的研究提出了一些建议。
