基于语料库的美国国情咨文与中国政府工作报告语法衔接对比研究

摘要

美国国情咨文和中国政府工作报告均为重要的政府文件，分别是美国总统和中国总理作的年度报告，阐述政府的施政方针。两份文件的发布均在国际上有重大影响，各国专家也经常从多个方面对两份文件进行比较研究。
　　自从1976年韩礼德和哈森首次提出衔接理论以来，衔接理论已经成为语篇分析中研究最为广泛的领域之一。本文以韩礼德和哈森的衔接理论建构分析框架为基础，以美国国情咨文(1997-2013)与中国政府工作报告(2006-2013)为研究对象，对语法衔接的使用进行对比分析。本文首先建立起美国国情咨文和中国政府工作报告两个语料库，总字数分别为100727字和99105字，然后运行Antconc程序来计算各类语法衔接的频率。本文用SPSS软件证明美国国情咨文与中国政府工作报告语法衔接的使用是否有显著差异，并对可能造成这些差异的原因进行初步探索。
　　通过对比两个语料库，本文发现在衔接手段中，两个语料库在语法衔接和不同类别的语法衔接的使用上均存在显著差异。在各类语法衔接手段中，中国政府报告使用的连词显著高于美国国情咨文，使用的照应，替代和省略均显著低于美国国情咨文。这说明了中国政府工作报告正式与准确的特点。本文的研究结果一方面有利于加深英语学习者对美国国情咨文与中国政府工作报告的理解，另一方面可为我国政府工作报告的汉英翻译提供借鉴与参考，从而使政府工作报告的英译更易为外国受众理解。
