大学生对中外籍教师英语教学的看法

摘要

近年来，中国已经雇佣了很多外籍英语教师，而且这些外籍英语教师在我国外语教学中发挥了重要作用。然而，对于外籍英语教师的语言教学过程及结果的评估，学者及老师们都研究不多，尤其是从学生的观角度进行的研究几乎没有。因此，有必要从学生的角度对英语教师的语言教学进行研究，以便了解他们如何在课堂上教学。 本研究调查了江西师范大学学生对中籍教师及外籍教师的看法。来自江西师范大学的148名英语专业大三的学生（22名男生，126名女生）参加了此次问卷调查。本研究采用的是饶振辉(2013)设计的问卷，问卷包括38个题目，分别是关于个人素质，语言能力，文化知识，教学方法，教学内容，课堂管理以及反馈和评估。本文旨在探讨:(1)学生对中外籍教师的整体看法;(2)中外籍教师在个人素质，语言能力及文化知识方面的差异;(3)中外籍教师在教学方法及教学内容方面的差异;(4)中外籍教师在课堂管理及反馈和评估方面的差异。本研究采取定量研究和定性研究相结合的方式。问卷结果借助统计软件SPSS16.0迸行处理，并运用描述统计学和配对样本T检验统计方法来分析数据。定性研究采取半结构化访谈形式，抽取6名学生参加访谈，并详细记录结果。 本研究主要取得以下研究结果:(1)整体而言，学生既没有偏爱中籍教师，也没有偏爱外籍教师:在一些方面，学生欣赏中籍教师，另一些方面，学生欣赏外籍教师，但同时也意识到他们各自的不足;(2)中外籍教师在个人素质，语言能力及文化知识方面具有显著性差异，整体来说，外籍教师比中籍教师更受欢迎;(3)中外籍教师在教学方法及教学内容方面具有显著性差异，总体而言，外籍教师的教学方法更为灵活，而中籍教师则能更好的把握教学内容，使其与学生水平一致;(4)中外籍教师在课堂管理及反馈和评估方面具有显著性差异，中籍教师能更有效掌控课堂纪律，而外籍教师则能更好的给予学生积极的反馈及评估。 基于以上研究发现，本文提出了一些教学启示。首先，由于中外籍教师都有各自的优缺点，所以各自都要意识到自身的优点与不足，然后相互学习。而且，为了克服各自的不足，都应该针对其不足参加相应的额外培训。其次，研究结果表明，学生在不同的方面欣赏不同的教师，因此，教育行政人员在聘用外籍教师之前，应该警惕“本族语者谬论”，同时考虑学生的看法。最后，在聘用英语教师时，他们应该考虑教师过去的教学经验，语言教育方面的学历及英语流利度。只有这样，语言教学及学习才能提高。
