双向文化导入在高职高专英语教学中的作用

摘要

随着我国英语教育改革的深入发展，文化导入和文化意识的培养越来越受到人们的重视。在外语教学中注重文化教学已成为了英语教学界的共识。而我国传统的外语教学模式长期以来受结构主义和行为主义理论的影响一直处于以教师为中心、以语言知识为重点的教学模式，强调语言内部结构的认知，注重词汇、语法等知识的教学，而忽视了语言文化背景知识的导入。学生常因不了解中西文化差异，在交际中出现很多语用错误。同样，高职教育的英语课程的教学也沿袭着这种教学方法。但是，这种重视英语语言知识和语言技能的培养而忽视文化教学的现象与高职高专对学生的培养目标大相径庭，高职高专主要是培养社会应用型人才。高职高专英语教学改革坚持“实用为主、够用为度”的大方向，以培养学生实际应用语言的能力为目标，突出教学内容的实用性和针对性。英语教学的最终目标是培养跨文化交流的人才，而跨文化交流者必须保持本民族文化身份。在高职高专的英语文化教学中，只有把本族语文化教学和目的语文化教学并举，才能使高职高专学生提高跨文化交流能力。
　　 本文根据高职高专英语特点，从语言与文化关系理论的角度，跨文化意识的培养与交际能力提高的角度，分析了在高职高专院校英语教学中进行双向文化导入教学的重要性。指出了高职高专院校英语双向文化教学的教学原则。随后作者通过在高职高专英语教学中进行文化教学的一个实验，证明提出的文化教学策略在培养学生文化意识以及提高他们的跨文化交际能力方面是切实可行的。教学实验结果表明，双向文化导入英语教学方法对提高高职高专学生的跨文化交际能力有明显的提高作用。虽然本研究有它的不足之处，但作者希望能对今后的文化教学带来一些启示。只要教师善于在语言教学与文化教学之间找到一个恰当的结合点，就会扬长避短，实现文化知识和交际能力并重的教学目标，提高学生的跨文化交际能力。
