语篇分析理论在中等职业学校英语阅读教学中的应用研究

摘要

中职学校旅游英语专业的学生是一个特殊的群体。他们正处于心理发展的“狂暴期”，内心世界极其复杂。他们虽然语音面貌较好，但词汇储备不够，英语基础不牢，阅读技巧不够，策略不足，对英语不感兴趣，学习目的不明确。在常规课文教学模式已明显地不利于学生综合能力普遍提高的现实情况下，笔者带着问题，就旅游英语专业教与学的现状做了一次问卷调查，试图了解中等职业学校旅游英语专业英语教师的教学理念，了解旅游英语专业学生对英语课文教学的看法，了解当前英语课文的教学重点，了解学生对英语课文学习方法的掌握情况。并对调查结果进行了相关的分析。以期证明英语教师们在摸索中尝试的新的阅读教学方法，语篇分析法，有助于学生阅读能力的提高，语篇分析理论的运用能提高学生对英语阅读的兴趣和自信心。 本研究以语篇分析理论为指导，运用实证方法分析了语篇分析有助于中职的英语阅读教学。笔者从所工作的常德旅游学校旅游英语专业03级中随意挑选了两个班(旅游英语班0301班和旅游英语班0302班)的学生共120人进行了一种为期7个月的对比性的实证研究。其中旅游英语0302班为对照班，他们在课堂上接受的是以词汇和语法为主的常规的课文教学模式。旅游英语班0301班为实验班，他们的阅读课以语篇分析为主。实验前，笔者提出了两个假设：假设一、语篇分析法有助于学生阅读能力的提高。假设二、语篇分析理论的运用能提高学生对英语阅读的兴趣和自信心。实验中，实验班的学生在阅读课堂上采用语篇分析的方法，在导读过程中，学生通过语篇的重述特点掌握文章的背景知识。在读的过程中，学生通过略读，从宏观角度迅速把握语篇的基本结构；在细读时，通过抓重述、指代、连接等手段，掌握文本的细节线索；再借助衔接手段，进一步巩固、记忆语篇的内容和结构。在读后过程中，运用衔接手段与节奏进行拓展性练习，既可以培养学生的阅读兴趣，又可以发挥学生的语言创造性。在实验前后，对两个班的学生进行了问卷调查，并对调查的结果进行了分析。运用定量分析法，对实验班和对照班的阅读成绩在实验前后进行了对比分析，分析结果显示，接受了语篇分析教学的学生(即实验班)的学生的得分高于基于常规教学的学生(即对照班)的学生的得分，语篇分析理论的应用能提高学生的阅读成绩。另外，运用定性分析法，分析了问卷调查的结果，分析结果表明，语篇分析理论的运用能提高学生对英语阅读的兴趣和自信心。本研究的结论是语篇分析理论的应用能提高中等职业学校学生的阅读成绩，语篇分析理论的运用能提高学生对英语阅读的兴趣和自信心。
