建构主义视角下大学英语综合教材研究——以全新版《大学英语综合教程》为例

摘要

随着经济全球一体化的趋势逐渐加强，英语在国际交往中的作用越来越大。作为获取英语知识重要来源之一的英语教材自然也更加成为人们关注的对象。近年来，建构主义的不断发展及其在教育教学领域的不断应用，使建构主义相关理论受到越来越多学者及研究者的关注。以往的研究主要将建构主义理论集中在教学方面，对教学内容的直接来源—教材涉及却相对较少。然而，建构主义视角下教材的研究，无论从理论上还是实践上都是具有重大意义的。
　　针对以上情况，本文选取全新版《大学英语综合教程》为研究对象，从建构主义角度出发，以定性和定量相结合的研究方法，对其进行实证研究。本文首先根据建构主义相关理论，借鉴前人提出的建构主义教材观，总结、提炼出建构主义视角下教材编写原则。然后，作者选取全新版《大学英语综合教程》1-4册为研究对象，以建构主义教材编写原则为标准，对全新版《大学英语综合教程》教材进行内部、外部评估。内外部评估分别依据建构主义教材编写原则关注的五方面即:教材版面设计、教材编写目标、教材内容的选择、安排及其实施。通过内部评估，作者客观分析、阐述全新版《大学英语综合教程》教材基本现状。依据学生、教师问卷调查、访谈结果而做出的外部评估，作者探讨了全新版《大学英语综合教程》教材是否满足学生、教师需求，他们对于教材各个方面持有怎样的观点。最后，依据内外部评估结果，作者分析、总结全新版《大学英语综合教程》教材优缺点。
　　评价结果显示，全新版《大学英语综合教程》基本上满足了师生要求。该教材版面布局清晰，各级标题、栏目等突显，便于教与学，字体大小、距离等合适，激发学生阅读兴趣;教材目标聚焦于学生意义的建构和能力的发展;教材内容的选择以学生为中心，崇尚情境性和社会性，注重激发学生学习积极性;教材内容安排，难度逐级递增，符合学生认知发展，注重学生知识的正迁移;教材的实施尊重学生的主体性，强调学生的自主学习性;研究同时发现教材仍存在部分不足之处，如:插图，表格与单元主题内容不相关联;国内外文化介绍比例不协调;单元主题内容衔接不够紧密等。
　　基于以上研究，作者从教材编写者、教师、学生角度对优化大学英语综合教材编写、使用提出了相关建议。
