中美英文体育报道中态度和介入资源比较研究及文化阐释——以北京和伦敦奥运会刘翔事件为例

摘要

随着文化冲突和误解的日益频繁，人们对不同文化的了解和互信越来越受重视。因此跨文化交际的研究就显得尤为重要。做为大众传播媒介的体育报道是展示不同社会文化的有力途径之一。
　　在北京和伦敦奥运会的赛场上，被誉为“亚洲飞人”称号的刘翔无疑引起了全世界的关注。本文使用评价理论研究体育新闻。由学者马丁提出的评价理论是系统功能语言学的新发现，是系统功能语言学在对人际意义研究中发展起来的新词汇语法框架。评价理论关注语篇中所协调的各种态度，所涉及到的情感的强度，以及表面价值和联盟读者的各种方式。英文体育报道中充满了作者和读者对北京奥运会和伦敦奥运会刘翔事件的各种态度和评价，充满了人际意义的表达。因此，评价理论，这一正在发展中的人际功能理论，成为分析英文体育报道中评价资源分布特征的理想框架。
　　本文从话语分析的角度，以北京和伦敦奥运会对刘翔事件的英文报道为研究样本，对中美英文体育报道中评价资源的分布特征进行对比回答如下两个问题:(1)在中美英文体育报道中，态度和介入资源是如何分布的？(2)态度和介入资源在中美英文体育报道中所起的作用是什么？然后，试图使用史瓦兹提出的相关文化价值理论回答在英美体育报道中，为何存在态度和介入资源的差异。
　　由于不同的文化背景，对于北京奥运会和伦敦奥运会刘翔事件报道中评价资源的分布也各有不同。本文从中美两国知名媒体中选取了各30篇与北京奥运会和伦敦奥运会刘翔事件有关的英文报道作为本文的研究对象。首先使用Anctconc软件统计态度和介入资源在英文体育报道中的分布，对比评价资源在中美英文体育报道中的不同。然后从文化的角度，对评价资源在中美英文体育报道中分布的差异进行文化阐释。
　　基于此分析，本研究的结论如下:中美在北京奥运会和伦敦奥运会刘翔事件的报道中，评价资源分布的特种存在很大的差异。对于态度资源而言，判断资源在美国体育报道中占据了较大的比例，而中国体育报道则采用了较多的情感资源。对于介入资源而言，美国体育报道着重使用了多声收缩系统，而中国体育报道则更多的使用了多声扩展系统。这些评价资源分布的差异蕴含了深刻的文化内涵，并且反映出不同国家的文化差异。中国体育报道体现了保守和自我超越的文化价值观。强调社会安全，传统的和谐，集体主义和仁慈的观念。而美国体育报道更加注重个人取得的成果。体现了自我提升和开放性的价值观。强调个人成就、能力，追求梦想和自由创新的自我导向。
