摘要

Fluid dynamics of displacement type deep-Vee vessel differs from that of conventional vessels owing to its special hull form and navigation state, this contributes to the advantages in seakeeping performance and maneuverability of deep-Vee vessels over those of conventional ones, especially in excellent performance of near - zero turning heel. This paper probes into the theory of this characteristics and examines the heeling results obtained in the maneuverability tank test of conventional and non-conventional self-propulsion models, and i n the fluid dynamic determination tests of restrained models. A prediction program and a control method to be used in the full-scale vessel design has been provided.
