This paper presents neural network based procedures tornidentify reflectance spectra, which are out of scope ofrnthe retrieval algorithm, and to determine uncertainties ofrnOLCI products of optically complex coastal waters. Itrndiscusses the limited information content of reflectancernspectra and presents examples how to improve the utilisationrnof these products by indicating their limitationsrnand uncertainties for different types of waters.
