Two microscopic simulation models CORSIM (Corridorrnsimulation model) and AIMSUN2 (Advanced InteractivernMicroscopic Simulator for Urban and Non- UrbanrnNetworks) were compared for modeling of congested andrnuncongested freeway networks with on-ramps. Thernmeasures of effectiveness (MOE’S) compared includesrnflow, speed, and density. CORSIM and AIMSUN showedrncomparable results for uncongested conditions but resultsrnfor congested conditions showed some distinctrndifferences.
