To study a method for the rapid detection of medically important opportunistic fungi A pair of oligonuleotide sequences, which were based on the conserved region of 18s rRNA shared by medically important opportunistic fungi, was used as the primers to amplify the DNAs from medically important opportunistic fungi in a PCR assay.
