The Analysis of the Development of Tourism Based on Grey System Theory ——Taking Shaanxi Province as an Example

In recent years, tourism demonstrates an increasingly important position in giving a great push to the economic growth, it has become a pillar and leading industry in many areas. In order to analyze the development of tourism better, we take Shaanxi Province as an example. First we fetch data between 1999 and 2008, and then we use matlab to make gray correlation analysis between tourism and other industries with matlab. We come to the conclusion that tourism in Shaanxi Province and industry has the largest correlation, followed by construction and education. The result is in accordance with practical situation. Therefore, in order to develop tourism, we should not only focus on the development of tourism, but also pay attention to other industries. In the last we set up GM(1,1) model make give grey prediction on tourism income of Shaanxi Province in the next 5 years. The results show that the GM(1,1) grey model can predict the development of tourism accurately, and it has guiding significance for planning development of tourism.
