Data Mining in Systematic Reviews: A Bibliometric Analysis of Game-Based Learning and Distance Learning

摘要

This paper used bibliometric analysis tools to analyze bibliometric data in the field of game-based learning combined with distance learning. This study utilized the analysis tools MAXQDA, Harzing, VosViewer, Mendeley, CiteSpace, and AuthorMapper. The results illustrate an emerging area in game-based learning with distance learning, based on analyses of the keywords, trends, and co-citation data. The data mining methods of this study yielded the background information, central concepts, and theoretical foundations of the field of game-based learning and distance learning. The bibliometric analysis of this study offers a form of preliminary statistical and content analysis from a vast number of publications in academic databases. Based on the findings, we can trace the developing path of the literature and obtain valuable and educational information for the direction of future research.
