The effect of green Movement on urban planning

摘要

Human activities have had major effects on nature that often are not environmentally healthful. Amongst human activities urbanization influence nature more than the others. In the last decades, urbanization has produced many destructive and irreversible effects on natural environments. Since more and more people will be moving to and will be living in the cities, the problem will extend beyond existing boundaries and will result in more damage to the natural environment. As a result of the urban problems and environmental circumstances, green movement will necessarily play a major role. It emphasizes on transforming in urban pattern (land use, public transport, Preserving open space) and changing lifestyle (promoting walking, bicycling, and reducing consumption). This paper reviews the green movement history and shows how the green movement effects the planning for urban area. The aim of this paper is minimizing the effects that urbanization could have on our Environment.
