The paper deals with the statistics of diversity signals in the case of a transmission over Hoyt multipath fading environments. Closed form expression for the autocorrelation function (ACF) of Hoyt fading processes is first derived. The second order statistics, in terms of the level crossing rate (LCR) and the average fade duration (AFD) are then presented for the case of dual-branch maximum ratio combining (MRC) diversity. In the derivation, the signals of the diversity branches are assumed to be correlated.
