摘要

Blue-emitting phosphor LaMgAl_(11)O_(19):Eu~(2+) has been synthesized successfully at 500 °C by one step combustion synthesis method. The as-synthesized materials were characterized by powder x-ray diffraction (XRD) and photoluminescence (PL) techniques. Upon 365 nm excitation, emission spectra of the LaMgAl_(11)O_(19):Eu~(2+) phosphors show a blue band at 450 nm. The excitation spectra corresponding to 4f~7-4f5d transition of Eu~(2+) cover the spectral range of 280-430 nm. The concentration quenching of Eu~(2+) in the LaMg_(11)O_(19) host was determined to be 3 mol%. The CIE chromaticity of LAM: Eu~(2+) phosphors was compared with the commercial BAM.
