摘要

Strontium hexa-aluminate phosphors activated with Eu~(3+) and Sm~(3+) ions were produced at low temperatures (500℃) by the combustion of corresponding metal nitrate-urea mixtures over a period of 5 min. Powder X-ray diffraction characterization and photoluminescence studies of these samples were carried out. It was found that co-doping of Sm~(3+) ions helps in the partial reduction of Eu~(3+) ions to Eu~(2+) ions in SrAl_(12)O_(19).
