DNA Atlas: A Sequence Exploration Tool

Relating sequence to function is valuable but difficult. We present a simple, intuitive graphical interface to identify and explore the sequence elements that confer functionality, and to correlate these with observed activity. Currently, plasmid maps are used as graphical representations of DNA sequences, or constructs, with various annotations of features, with known and unknown functions. The current application of plasmid maps lacks an easy way to compare more than one construct at a time in feature space, thus limiting the way we can explore sequence-function relationships.
