The Modification of the Matrimonial Regime through Matrimonial Convention

One of the significant novelties of the New Civil Code is represented exactly by the stated possibility of concluding matrimonial conventions in order to modify the matrimonial regime in use. The spouses are granted the possibility of opting between two new matrimonial regimes by means of the matrimonial convention. That is, the convention represents the legal instrument used in order to modifying the matrimonial regime. Its specific rules, features, validity conditions and effects are analysed below.
