The common octopus O. vulgaris is a potential candidate to diversify marine farming. Despite the promising ongrowing results in sea cages in integrated aquaculture models, the development of octopus farming is limited by the lack of specific compounddiets.In this study, two specific moist diets were formulated with different protein/lipid ratios for cephalopods: a high lipid diet p.) and a low lipid diet (LL). Both diets were based on bogue fillets, provided by local fisheries, enriched with fish oil, commercial purified oils and cholesterol, in order to match the profile of octopus tissues and natural prays (crustaceans). All raw materials were agglutinated with alginate + calcium. In addition, fresh bogue (Boops hoops), discarded from fish farms (aquaculture by-product), was used as a control diet. The biochemical composition of each diet is shown in Table 1.
