PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a skin care preparation for external use exhibiting excellent ameliorative prophylactic effect on symptoms of postpuberal adult vulgaris acne. ;SOLUTION: This preparation features including at least either one of a partially acylated chitosan salt which contains charged amino groups in a proportion of 40-99% and possesses an average molecular weight of more than 100,000 or a chitosan salt, a polyhydric alcohol, an antiphlogistic ingredient and a microbicidal ingredient in proportions of 0.1-0.5 wt.%, 1-30 wt.% 0.001-1.0 wt.%, and 0.005-0.3 wt.%, respectively and showing the pH of 3.3-5.6.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
