In this chapter, phase formation in the NaNbO_3- Ca(Sr)_2Nb_2O_7 system is studied. Identified synthesis conditions at which the composition 0.5NaNbO_3-0.5Ca(Sr)_2Nb_2O_7 crystallizes in the orthorhombic perovskite-like layered structure with the formulas of compounds Na_2Ca_4Nb_6O_(20) and NaSr_4Nb_5O_(17) are described.
