摘要

Through case study and quality analysis, the advantage of multimedia computer-assisted language learning (MCALT) is shown by comparing it with the traditional teaching method. The experiments result in a lively atmosphere and efficient class to stimulate pupils' interest for learning English. By taking integration of text, sound, graph, image and animation, the application purposes motivating pupils' initiative learning with developing their body language, memorizing ability, learning happiness and processing information ability. Problems described are solved by suggestions in the proper use of multimedia in elementary English teaching.
