Minors and crime, the effectiveness of the volunteering action in the re-education treatment process in prison.

Presently the solidarity contents that shape the modern penitentiary volunteering in Europe, have assumed the characters of permanence and functionally to the system. In Italy this assumption is validated by the existence of the framework law of august11, 1991 no.266 which considers the volunteering in all its forms a fundamental element of the various and multiple structures to which it belongs. The service offered by volunteers to minors whom are in trouble, inspired by all those free values, creativity and sharing, in fact it is only the first aspect, although certainly indispensable, to give credibility to any intervention of that volunteer in prison who wants to act as a force of innovation and change. It is a feeling, unfortunately widespread that the volunteers in particular involved in the juvenile justice are a hybrid among the idealists and dreamers which is one of possible explanations for understanding a commitment from which they don't subtract. It is also emblematic to see the obstinacy and the perseverance that they have to show, almost never heard, what's wrong or is not relevant on the criticality that characterize the prison system in particular on training and the social inclusion process. For years the associations, among others, continue to put the emphasis on the reduced utility of the detentive answer to what concerns the social recovery of people deprived of freedom and their reintegration that, consequently becomes above all a statement of purpose and a bet won few times.
