Ovarian tissue vitrification and transplantation: from animal lab to clinical practice

[Introduction]: Recently, the number of cancer survivors has increased as a consequence of improved treatmentoutcomes due to progress in diagnosis and multimodal therapy for cancer. Along with such changes, the loss offertility, especially that caused by chemotherapy or radiotherapy for patients of reproductive age, has grown inimportance with respect to its influence on the QOL of cancer survivors. This document gives an outline ofrecent findings on the progress of ovarian tissue cryopreservation for fertility preservation in young women withcancer.
