The seed-swelling method was adopted to synthesized the porous copolymer of 1-allyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate and acrylonitrile P([amim]BF_4-AN). The samples were characterized by IR, DSC and CO_2 sorption was investigated by determining equilibrium data. The effects of the amount of initiator and swelling time on the porous structure and CO_2 sorption were discussed in detail. The results indicated that porous P([amim]BF_4-AN) with benzoyl peroxide (BPO)0.1g and swelling 20h has the higher CO_2 sorption capacity.
