Comparative Study on Fuzzy PID Controller and Conventional PID Controller

PID controller is simple, stable and reliable. But the controller parameters cannot adjust themselves when the object varies. To solve the problem, this paper combined fuzzy control and PID controller, realized self-adjustment of PID parameters using fuzzy reasoning method, analysed the advantages over the traditional PID controller. The simulation was researched by Matlab and the results show that fuzzy PID controller has advantages of higher accuracy, faster response and less overshoot.
