Solute solvent interactions are conveniently studied with the application of acoustic and spectroscopic techniques. Vibrational spectroscopy is a valuable tool for studying solvation effect in solvents. There is an upsurge interest in the application of these techniques in understanding the physical, chemical and biological properties of liquids and solutions. The ultrasonic and spectroscopic investigations can be perspective for the elucidation of structural changes occurring in solutions. In the present investigation, the spectral study of L. Arginine Methyl Ester Di Hydrochloride in formamide has been carried out. The various interactions occurring between the solute and the solvent are evaluated using ultrasonic velocity at different temperatures and at different molalities. The results obtained from spectroscopic and acoustic study support the significance of the thermodynamic behaviour of the sample.
