Students' Perceptions for Interactive Process Characteristics of Efficient Team Learning

The purpose guiding this research has been to describe the interactive process characteristics of efficient team learning from students' own perspectives. In-depth interviews was conducted in the context just after student-team solving problem cooperatively, and NVivo was used to sort, organize and index data. Specific Findings were: From the micro-angle of view, features were as following: mutual taking steps forward, correct ideas emerging, and identifying the correct ideas acutely, giving logical reasons et al.; from the macro-angle of view, features were as following: participating jointly, clearizing problem and preparing enough et al.. And the common descriptions of above two different angles were: discussing freely, doubting on wrong or deviated opinions necessarily, and questions-responsing immediately. These results seemingly suggested that the essence of student's efficient team learning is mutual scaffolding.
