Editorial to the Proceedings of the 3~(rd) Workshop on Metallization for Crystalline Silicon Solar Cells

摘要

Metallization is a critical step in solar cell manufacturing, which not only determines solar cell efficiency to a large extent, but also plays an important role in the final cost of a photovoltaic module. The series of Workshops on Metallization for Crystalline Silicon Solar Cells was started in 2008 to provide a forum for metallization specialists to discuss issues and progress in the field. After the workshop in Utrecht, The Netherlands in 2008, and Constance, Germany in 2010, the 3~(rd) edition was held in Charleroi, Belgium, on 25-26~(th) October 2011. It was again a success. In Charleroi 200 participants from 19 countries came to discuss the results from 29 presentations on various metallization topics. These proceedings contain a selection of peer-reviewed papers from the workshop contributions.
