摘要

In clinical practice, light therapy is considered as one of effective methods for treating skin troubles. The treatment methods involve the use of visible light or non-visible ultraviolet light to treat a myriad of conditions like acne, skin vascular lesion, scar, psoriasis and so on. However, skin has complex structures, which results in that several factors, such as the absorption, scattering, and reflection of light, should be considered. In addition, it is difficult to achieve the target depth without pain as the efficiency of light transmission is relatively low. Such drawbacks are particularly obvious in LED therapy as blue wavelength light is considered to pass only 0.1 mm deep into human skin.
