Considering requirements of the molds and dies, the mirror finishing surface is becoming as a particular requirement due to its directly related to the appearance of the product, especially injected plastics parts. Currently, this process is generally performed by manual polishing after machining at a machining center. However, due to the lack of skilled workers, the short delivery times and cost reduction requirements, and the further miniaturization and complication of the shape, manual polishing cannot meet those requirements. In order to solve this problem, there are many researchers have been investigated the alternative cutting and/or abrasive process for approaching a mirror surface finishing in milling operation on a CNC machining center without polishing process.
