Through potassium pyrosulfate melting method, the acidity titanium dioxide sol is prepared, and then the TiO_2/sepiolite composite water treatment agent is prepared by serials of soaking, shaking and heating process, the adsorption and photo-catalysis property of TiO_2/sepiolite composite water treatment agent to the simulated active-blue dye wastewater is also studied. The results showed that, compared with the raw sepiolite mineral and modified sepiolite, the adsorption speed, adsorption capability and the discoloration rate have been enhanced greatly. Freundlich adsorption isotherm can describe the adsorption behavior of the TiO_2/sepiolite composite to the simulated dye water. In the system of photo-catalysis, TiO_2/sepiolite composite, compared to TiO_2 and raw sepiolite minerals, the discoloration rate to the simulated active-blue water were also enhanced, it's not the results of the simple adsorption but also the degradation by the reaction of the photo-catalysis. The results showed that the TiO_2/sepiolite performs high adsorption property as also as good photo-catalysis efficiency. SEM and XPS of TiO_2/sepiolite showed the titanium has embedded into the inside instruction of sepiolite.
