摘要

Single walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) have been intensively studied, and substantial interests are stemmed from the view point of their unique electronic, thermal, and structural characteristics. In this study we systematically evaluated the adsorption of water- insoluble anticancer drug on the Ox-SWCNTs in order to explore the potentialities of Ox-SWCNTs as an efficient nanocarrier for loading and delivering water insoluble anticancer drugs. As a drug model, we used camptothecin, a potent anticancer agent extracted from Camptotheca acuminata which inhibits the DNA enzyme topoisomerase I (topo I).
