Fragmentomics of Oligopeptides and Proteins

摘要

The term "fragmentomics" is used for consideration of oligopeptide and protein fragments that are true biomarkers [1]. However, protein fragmentation is used also in protein chemistry for revealing their primary structures. Natural fragmentation of specialized precursors of oligopeptides and proteins is well known. Therefore the sense of this term should be extended.
