There are many different groups of regional plastics processors competing in the business of supplying structural plastic parts - both final end-use products and components of all-plastic or mixed-material assemblies. Since the turn of the century these diverse plastics processors have confronted challenging conditions in many of the markets they serve. This in turn has resulted in differing growth dynamics across the various processing businesses. This paper briefly discusses how the regional rotomolders have managed to grow their overall business over the long term and over the decade of the 2000s marked by a minor and major recession.
