On the Crisis Management of Chinese Medicine Industry from the Perspective of International Trade

At present Chinese medicine industry is confronted with a serious crisis in the international market: smaller market share,not high in status in international services trade,lack of stronger capability of independent innovation.Chinese medicine is facing tough technical wall.Chinese medicine industry crisis is characterized by science crisis,crisis of confidence and cultural crisis.It is inevitable that Chinese medicine reflects scientific and cultural content with humanistic and cultural forms considering Chinese special historical condition.The features of Chinese traditional culture are that it is developed in humanities and weak in science because humanities have always been laid stress on but nature belittled.Chinese medical scientist have to explain various medical problems with established and their familiar cultural forms to construct medical theories that they themselves can understand.Chinese medicine industry is therefore facing insuperable scientific and cultural bottleneck so that people do not understand,and furthermore not accept Chinese medicine.Chinese medicine industry crisis is a cruel reality.We must examine it closely with calm attitude,finding out reasonable managerial strategies.Increasing investments to scientific research,explaining the chemical and biological principle to Chinese medicine,clarifying pharmacokinetics,accelerating the pace of legislation,purifying Chinese medicine market,speeding up economic development,and disseminating national culture should be the inevitable choice of crisis management of Chinese medicine industry.Not only is resolving Chinese medicine industry crisis the drive of Chinese scientific and technological progress,and furthermore it is closely related with enhancing the status and role of Chinese economy and culture within the global range.
