摘要

Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) are tailor-made materials for molecular recognition. MIPs have specific binding sites generated by the crosslinking of functional monomers that undergo self-organization with the target, which is also known as the template. Since MIPs are more chemically robust and economical than enzymes or antibodies, they can be used as recognition elements in biosensors. However, the mechanism underlying the generation of electric signals corresponding to specific binding by transducer has not yet been established.
