In this paper nonlinear free vibrations of a shallow spherical shell under axi symmetric temperature distribution through the thickness has been analyzed with the help of von Karman's coupled nonlinear partial differential equations extended to thermal loading with the inclusion of curvature in terms of stress function and transverse displacement. Galerkin's error minimizing technique has been employed to get the final solution in the form of generalized Diffing's time-dependent differential equation.
