According to foundational data of protective equipments in management information system, Markov model of protective equipments reliability analysis is developed and optimum routine test interval of protective equipments based on reliability analysis is achieved through proposed method in this paper. Three new terms, self-test index, maintenance index and repair index, are introduced and defined in this paper, which weigh heavily to reliability of protective equipment. Also, the impact of self-test index and maintenance index on protective equipments reliability index is discussed. Protective equipments reliability can be dynamically evaluated through the adapter to protective equipments Management Information System, which is of great theoretical significance and practical value and improves the function and management of protective equipments.
