摘要

Optimal drug therapy requires maximizing drug delivery to the intended target while minimizing drug dissemination to off-target tissues. Hurdles associated with optimizing drug delivery include: achieving a high drug concentration in target tissues, moving the drug across cel membranes, overcoming drug resistance mechanisms, and protecting the drug’s integrity until it reaches its intracellular target.
