摘要

Temperature dependences of the tribological properties of polyamide blended with metal stearate were investigated. Correlation of the melting point of the metal stearates of different molecular structure of fatty acid or metal element, with the surface temperature at which the friction coefficient is reduced was possible. Thus, reduction of the friction coefficient at high temperatures was thought to be due to the formation of a lubricating film by elution of the metal stearate. Tribological properties of polyamide in high temperature range can be improved by blending metal stearates with different melting point.
