摘要

The friction and wear behavior of the compatibilized polyamide 6 - high density polyethylene blend was studied in contact with steel, copper, titanium and aluminum alloys. Mutual transfer of the counterbody and polymer materials was observed. An essential contribution was made both by the transfer layer formed by polymer on metal and also by the metal particles transferred onto the polymer. It is noted that metal particles may produce an abrasive effect on the counterbody and intensify the wear rate by as much as several orders of magnitude. The effect of the metallic counter-body nature on mass transfer and tribological properties were discussed.
