Mirror prototypes in cold-pressed sintered SiC-54~R and in Carbon-SiC (Cesic~R) have been designed, manufactured and optically tested. The scope of the work was the development of materials, technologies and manufacturing processes to get high quality optics very stable at cryotemperatures. The activity has been performed under ESA funding in the frame of the technology development for the JWST/NIRSpec program. A description of the polishing performance and final testing results are discussed.
