Besides the world-wide changes in dietetic habits (more energy, fat, carbohydrate and less fiber intake than the necessary), the specific food consuming tradition vary by countries, which is considered one of the factors modifying the health status ofthe population to a great extent. Fis.h meat is one of the healthiest foodstuffs, it contains several nutrients (such as essential amino acids, omega-3 fatty acids, phosphorus, micro elements, D-, E-, B-vitamins, etc.) and their regular consumption is important for preventing frequent diseases (such as cardiovascular diseases, cancers, Alzheimer's disease). Fish consuming habits and consumer behaviors develop in a complex, multi-factored system, from which the most important ones are the prices, traditions, preference, fashion, taste, availability, personal factors, advertisement, packing, and family habits.
