摘要

There has been great interest and considerable work towards the production of hollow materials of nanoscopic dimensions. A variety of techniques including direct self-assembly, layer-by-layer deposition, templating techniques, and core degradation of a core shell structure, have been applied to generate unique macromolecular architectures, resulting in a diverse class of molecules which vary greatly in their physical properties, such as size, reactivity and solubility.
