STANDARDS - WHAT STANDARDS?

摘要

The ubiquitous spread of IT Equipment in virtually every building and the dramatic increase of data transmission rates has compelled the assessment of the associated Earthing and Bonding topologies. This paper attempts to: summarise those Standards as issued by the International, European and National Bodies; outline the Standard committees cunent activities; suggest how the Standards might keep pace with changing requirements, and indicate the future role which the Standards should play to give guidance and clarity to the IT industry. This paper does not contrive to provide solutions to the problems it poses!
