Since the transmission of video is increasing in the communication in recent years, the data transmission capacity is increasing. Therefore, improvement in the data transmission speed for subscriber class will be needed in near future. However, the core device that is used in trunk line system is permitting the comparatively expensive system that uses the conventional ceramic package, from the demand of high performance and reliability. A price-obstacle has to be conquered for progress to a low end. Therefore, we are developing the high frequency package using an organic material with SMT (surface mounting technology) and possibility of low cost. This time, we propose one example of a package, and report its evaluation results.
