Heating of organic and inorganic materials subject to loss - using electromagnetic alternating field having medium frequency and making direct ohmic contact between object and electrode pair of opposing polarity connected to medium frequency generator
The medium frequency reacts directly with the material, so that as well as its dipolar and Maxwell-Wagner loss mechanism, it also contributes to the DC conductivity for the absorption of the field energy. A pair of electrodes (1a,1b) is connected to a medium frequency generator (3) and the electrode shape allows inner contact with the body surface. The electromagnetic alternating field is pref. chosen at a frequency range between 9 kHz and 500 kHz. Further electrostatic, magnetostatic or electromagnetic fields overlay the medium frequency field. USE/ADVANTAGE - For different kind of organic and inorganic materials, e.g. bulk material, compost, food products, wood, leather, concrete, fresh ceramics, sand, turf, waste (decontamination, sterilisation), etc. Gives homogeneous heating and avoids disintegrating of material. Method is highly reliable with smallest possible investment and operating costs.
